This afternoon we welcomed the first day of spring today by decorating eggs for Easter!
We have been learning about Ukrainian “pysanky” which are also known as Ukrainian Easter eggs as part of our Social Studies curriculum. Ukrainian Easter eggs are very symbolic, and they are traditionally decorated using a wax-resist method. Today we tried using a “sharpie” resist method with great results. Most of the eggs we decorated were hard boiled, but we even tried our hand at “blowing” an egg!
