Fraction Fun

We are learning to recognize and use fractions as parts of a whole and parts of a set. Our class is getting very good at using words such as halves, thirds, quarters, fifths, and sixths. This morning we played a fun game called Fraction Concentration.

Here are a couple of great online games that you can use to practice fractions.

Sheppard Software Matching Fractions (Wholes)

Sheppard Software Matching Fractions 2 (Sets)

Soft Schools Matching Fractions Game

Think outside of our classroom. We know that fractions can be a really useful way to describe equal parts. Can you think of other places that we might see fractions? We would love to hear our blog followers, so thank you for commenting!
