Lest We Forget

Over the last few days, we have been learning about the significance of Remembrance Day in Canada. I have been very impressed by the comments and attitudes of our class! For instance, Maddy says that it is important to “show respect and remember the soldiers who have fought for us.” Teigan wrote that she will “wear her poppy proudly.”
Tomorrow, we will be attending and participating in our school’s Remembrance Day ceremony. We will be performing O’Canada using sign language, and many members of our class will sing with the choir. You are welcome to join us for this important occasion!
Finally, we would love to hear from some of our blog followers about how Remembrance Day is recognized where you live. Do you think Remembrance Day is important?  Why? Please feel free to comment on this post!

  1. Hi Grade 3W,

Thank you for signing O’Canada at our ceremony. You did a great job! Now you will be ready for the Rebels’ game in the new year.

I think Remembrance Day is important so that we don’t forget that we are very lucky to live in a peaceful country.

    Mrs. Schlemko 🙂
