Our final digital citizenship topic has to do with finding balance in our lives. Students are learning to set limits on “screen time”. In class, we have discussed screen time as tv, computers, and personal devices such as the iPod touch, DS, and PSP. To be well-rounded, healthy individuals, we know that we need to participate actively in “real world” activities such as playing outside, reading a book, and having a face-to-face time with family and friends!
Our goals for this lesson are;
o I can balance my computer time with other positive elements in my life such as family time, reading, recreation and work, etc.
o I can continue to enjoy other things, people and activities in my life.
Thank you for completing the final contract and promptly returning it to school.
I have been very impressed with the students’ understanding and effort as we have covered our 7 Habits of Digitial Citizenship. Of course, we will continue to reinforce all of our habits, however I feel confident that our class has a strong sense of what it means to be a good digital citizen! Way to go Grade 3’s!
