Pumpkin Patch

We have been learning a lot about pumpkins this week! Some of us love pumpkin pie…and some of us don’t. Some of us love cleaning out pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns…and some of us don’t. One thing that we can all agree on, is that pumpkins are a pretty amazing fruit! Did you know that the largest pumpkin ever was 1725 lbs? Did you know that people in Cooperstown, New York, actually carve out pumpkins to use as boats? Do you know what a “peduncle” is? Ask a member of 3W if you don’t! Students have quickly become “pumpkin experts” as they have been using their fantastic research skills to work on a pumpkin webquest in the computer lab.  They are also great pumpkin artists! You can check their masterpieces below!
